Baseball fans can catch a Diamondbacks game at Chase Field, and if you’re around in spring, the Cactus League brings Major League Baseball’s preseason right to the city.
Finding a hotel for under-21 travelers in Phoenix isn’t too tricky, with plenty of options spread across the city and surrounding areas. We’ve picked out the ones that actually welcome younger guests so you can focus on trails, games, and tacos instead of worrying about check-in rules.

The rooftop bar and restaurants bring built-in nightlife, while the pool, hot tub, 24-hour front desk, and well-regarded gym add convenience; just know rates are high, so it feels more like a splurge than a cheap overnight.

In-room microwaves and mini fridges, free Wi-Fi, a gym, and ample parking add to the practicality, especially if you have a car and are after something clean and reliable rather than a stylish downtown stay. Free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour front desk, a small fitness center, and even free bikes add extra convenience. Our opinion: In one of Phoenix’s most convenient upscale neighborhoods, stylish rooms with city or mountain views and a polished pool deck make this a comfortable base near plenty of dining and shopping. The social lobby, bars, gym, and easy access to both city attractions and hiking add to the appeal, though the overall value can feel less convincing once expensive parking and pricier extras are factored in.

Rooms cover the essentials well with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and clean, comfortable setup, while the 24-hour front desk and North Scottsdale location make getting around by car straightforward. Clean, modern rooms plus a pool, gym, free WiFi, and generally smooth check-in add to the appeal, though rates can spike during major events and parking fees have frustrated some guests. Our opinion: Near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, free breakfast, Wi-Fi, parking, and a local airport shuttle make this a convenient choice for a short stay in the Gilbert/Phoenix area. The outdoor pool, gym, hot tub, and in-room microwave and mini-fridge add useful value, especially if you just need a comfortable, no-frills base. Several guests did mention freeway noise, so it’s worth asking for a room farther from the road.

20 Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix West - Tolleson by IHG Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Free parking, Wi-Fi, breakfast, a pool, gym, and hot tub give this budget-friendly chain hotel better value and comfort than you might expect for a practical Phoenix base. It suits road trips, stadium events, and short stays especially well, particularly if easy freeway access matters more than being downtown or in a walkable social area.

Our opinion: With a year-round outdoor pool, hot tub, and quick access to I-10, this hotel makes a practical base in West Phoenix/Goodyear. Free Wi-Fi, in-room mini fridges and microwaves, and included breakfast add useful value for road trips, event weekends, and short stopovers, though the focus is more on convenience than atmosphere and some guests mentioned noise from doors, neighboring rooms, or AC units. Overall, it’s a solid choice when easy access around the area matters most.

22 AC Hotel Phoenix Biltmore Camelback East $$$
Our opinion: In Phoenix’s Biltmore area, this hotel makes a convenient base for splitting time between the city and Scottsdale, with a sleek outdoor pool and free parking listed in the official description. It offers a more polished feel than a budget stay, though it’s not the strongest value if you’re watching costs closely, as several guests mentioned extra charges and breakfast not being included. For a short trip focused on modern rooms, a social bar area, and easy access to shops, restaurants, and hikes, it’s a solid choice—just check the final price and request a quieter room away from the road.

It’s a convenient choice for a short trip when you want easy dining nearby, a comfortable room, and extras like a bar, restaurant, gym, 24-hour front desk, free Wi-Fi, and an in-room fridge to help keep costs down. Before booking, it’s worth confirming the check-in policy, as some guests reported an unclear 21+ minimum age requirement.

24 Residence Inn Phoenix Chandler/Fashion Center Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Across from Chandler Fashion Center, roomy suites with full kitchens make this a practical pick when extra space and easy meal prep matter more than resort polish. Free breakfast adds value, and the heated outdoor pool and gym give you a couple of simple ways to unwind. Guest feedback does mention that the property can feel older than the photos suggest, and the daily parking fee frustrated quite a few people.

Free Wi-Fi, a fitness room, in-room microwaves and mini-fridges, and a 24-hour front desk add to the practicality, though parking may cost extra and the immediate area has limited walkable dining.

26 Comfort Inn & Suites Surprise Near Sun City West Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: For trips centered on Surprise and the west side of Phoenix, this is a practical budget base that keeps the focus on convenience rather than style. Free parking, free Wi‑Fi, an indoor pool, breakfast, and generally comfortable rooms help it stand out for the price, which often runs lower than nearby options. Best for short stays, road trips, event weekends, or visits to State Farm Stadium, it’s worth booking with realistic expectations since some guests reported maintenance or policy issues.

27 Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix Cityscape by IHG Downtown Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: In the heart of CityScape, this downtown Phoenix hotel is best for a stay centered on walkability, nightlife, and being close to the city’s main attractions, with rates that reflect the location. You can easily reach Chase Field, the convention center, concerts, restaurants, and bars on foot, while perks like the free evening wine hour, EOS Fitness access, and an on-site restaurant add convenience. Just keep in mind that extra fees, expensive parking, and noise from the rooftop bar or surrounding downtown streets may be drawbacks.

-
28 Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix West/Avondale Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Close to central Phoenix and with easy freeway access, this hotel is a convenient base for a trip focused more on getting around than spending lots of time on-site. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, mini-fridges, reliable check-in, and an outdoor pool make it a practical choice, though breakfast and coffee may cost extra, so overall value depends on how much you plan to use the on-site food options.

29 Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix Downtown Downtown Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: In downtown Phoenix, free breakfast and easy access to the city’s main event venues make this a convenient base for a stay focused on being out and about rather than spending much time at the hotel. It’s a practical pick for concerts, games, convention weekends, and short visits, with free WiFi, a gym, plus an on-site bar and restaurant for added convenience. Parking is the main downside, though, since there’s no free self-parking and valet charges came up repeatedly in reviews; there’s also no pool or other resort-style extras.
Address 77 E Polk St Show on map- The minimum age for check-in at this hotel is 18
- Gym / fitness center.

-
30 Hilton Vacation Club Scottsdale Villa Mirage North Scottsdale $$$
Our opinion: With roomy studios and one-bedroom units that include kitchen setups, this Scottsdale property is a practical choice when extra space, easy parking, and a lively pool area matter more than a polished resort feel. The outdoor pool, mini-golf, pickleball, cornhole, basketball, and dining discounts add useful on-site value, and guest ratings point to a solid overall stay. Expect a good base for road trips or relaxed desert weekends, while keeping in mind that some areas feel dated and a few guests reported issues with parking, check-in, and hot water.
Address 7887 East Princess Boulevard Show on map- The minimum age for check-in at this hotel is 18
- Swimming pool.
- Gym / fitness center.
- Free parking available.
-
31 Arizona Grand Resort South Mountain $$$
Our opinion: With a huge on-site water park, multiple pools, a spa, and a golf course, the resort is best suited to a relaxed Phoenix stay centered on time at the property rather than a cheap overnight base. Spacious suites add to that appeal, but it makes the most sense if you have a car and are comfortable with resort-level prices for food and drinks. For travelers focused on hanging by the pool and making the most of the amenities, it can be a good pick; for a cheaper, more central city stay, it may feel overpriced.
Address 8000 South Arizona Grand Parkway Show on map- The minimum age for check-in at this hotel is 18
- Swimming pool.
- Ping pong tables.
- Gym / fitness center.

-
32 Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown Downtown Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: In downtown Phoenix, a historic setting, rooftop bar, and easy walk to event venues make this a strong base for a city stay centered on nightlife and getting around without a car. The setup is better for travelers who plan to spend most of their time out exploring than for anyone seeking a resort-style property, since there’s no pool and parking can be inconvenient. Free Wi-Fi, in-room coffee facilities, a 24-hour front desk, and a 24-hour fitness center all add useful convenience, especially for short stays or packed schedules. Just budget extra for breakfast, drinks, and possibly valet or nearby public parking.
Address 15 East Monroe Street Show on map- The minimum age for check-in at this hotel is 18
- Gym / fitness center.

-
33 Home2 Suites By Hilton Glendale Westgate Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: In Glendale’s Westgate area, suite-style rooms and easy walking access to State Farm Stadium and Desert Diamond Arena make this a practical choice for concerts, games, and short group trips. Free breakfast and in-room kitchenettes add useful value, though parking fees and some reports of maintenance or room-quality inconsistencies make it best for travelers prioritizing convenience over luxury.

- Swimming pool.
- Gym / fitness center.
- Pets are welcome.
- Free parking available.
-
34 Home2 Suites By Hilton North Scottsdale Near Mayo Clinic North Scottsdale $$$
Our opinion: For a comfortable extended stay in North Scottsdale, the suite-style rooms with kitchenettes are the main draw, along with a pool area that includes outdoor grills. Extra space, a fridge and microwave for simple meals, and easy access to the Mayo Clinic and major roads make it a practical base, though mixed breakfast reviews and parking fees are worth factoring in.
Address 20001 N. Scottsdale Road Show on map- The minimum age for check-in at this hotel is 18
- Swimming pool.
- Gym / fitness center.
- Pets are welcome.
-
35 Kimpton Miralina Resort and Villas by IHG Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Near Camelback Mountain, 40 landscaped acres give this Scottsdale resort a roomy, low-key feel that’s more about space and pool time than a polished city-hotel atmosphere. Villas and suites, multiple pools, a large fitness setup, and easy parking make it a solid base if you want a quieter place to stay. Keep in mind that reviews mention renovations, closed amenities, and resort fees that felt harder to justify when parts of the property were not fully open, so it makes the most sense if you plan to be out exploring and use the hotel as a relaxed home base.
Address 7200 North Scottsdale road Show on map- The minimum age for check-in at this hotel is 18
- Heated pool.

36 AC Hotel by Marriott Phoenix North Norterra Deer Valley $$$
Our opinion: Featuring a modern design, solid on-site dining, and easy highway access, this is a practical pick for a Phoenix stay that’s more about comfort and convenience than a big resort scene. It works well as a base if you’ll be out exploring, driving around North Phoenix, or just want a fresh, reliable place with a pool, bar, gym, and WiFi that actually holds up. The main caution: some guests found the rooms smaller than expected, and noise can be an issue depending on where your room is and how busy the hotel gets.

Our opinion: Close to Old Town Scottsdale and the entertainment district, this hotel is a practical option for travelers planning to spend their evenings out and want an easy walk back at the end of the night. An outdoor pool, bar, modern rooms with solid A/C, free Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour front desk add to the convenience, though late-night noise is common and light sleepers should be cautious, especially in rooms facing the nightlife area.

Our opinion: Just off Highway 101, extra space and money-saving perks are the main reasons to book this all-suite stay. Free breakfast and in-room kitchens help keep costs down, and it’s a practical base for driving around Peoria, especially for groups sharing a suite or stays longer than a night or two. The heated outdoor pool is a nice bonus, and having laundry facilities on-site makes longer stays easier. Just try to request a room away from the freeway if you’re a light sleeper.

39 Sonesta Select Scottsdale at Mayo Clinic Campus North Scottsdale $$$
Our opinion: Near north Scottsdale and the Mayo Clinic area, this hotel is a comfortable, low-key base with an outdoor pool, gym, terrace, and rooms equipped with mini-fridges and coffee makers. It makes the most sense if you’ll have a car or mainly want a quiet place to stay rather than a full resort experience. Free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk add convenience, but parking costs extra and breakfast is not included.

40 Courtyard Phoenix North / Happy Valley Deer Valley $$$
Our opinion: For a comfortable Phoenix base with useful on-site amenities, this hotel keeps things straightforward rather than luxurious. An outdoor pool, hot tub, gym, free parking, free Wi-Fi, and a Bistro serving food and drinks make it easy to settle in, though it can feel a little expensive for what you get, especially with breakfast usually costing extra.

41 Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Airport South Mountain $$$
Our opinion: Near Phoenix Sky Harbor, free airport transport, an outdoor pool, a hot tub, and an on-site restaurant make this a convenient choice for a brief stay. It’s best suited to arrivals, layovers, and early departures rather than a trip focused on nightlife or sightseeing. The free shuttle to Sky Harbor takes a lot of stress out of airport logistics, and the added shuttle connection toward downtown Tempe and the Metro light rail is useful if you want to get around without a car. Overall, it’s a solid convenience-first base, though the price can feel a little high for an airport hotel.

42 Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort North Mountain $$$
Our opinion: With a huge water complex, multiple pool areas, and a long waterslide, this all-suite resort is a strong fit for a Phoenix stay built around spending real time on-site. The mountain setting gives it more of a mini getaway feel than a standard city hotel, though the large layout means extra walking, possible shuttle waits, and a setup that can be confusing at first. Overall, it’s a good pick for a relaxed stay with pool time, views, and resort-style extras, but less ideal if you want a simple, budget-friendly base near nightlife and quick food options.

Free Wi-Fi, breakfast, and parking add to the value, and downtown, ASU, and major roads are all easy to reach by car. Keep expectations aligned with a straightforward motel-style stay where convenience matters more than atmosphere.

44 Super 8 by Wyndham Goodyear/Phoenix Area Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: For a short road-trip stop off I-10, the practical appeal here is the year-round outdoor pool, free parking, and a free grab-and-go breakfast that helps keep costs down. A 24-hour front desk is useful for late arrivals or early departures, and overall it makes the most sense for travelers who prioritize convenience over design. Just know this is a basic budget property, and several guests mention noise, dated interiors, and uneven upkeep.

45 Hyatt Place Phoenix Gilbert Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: About 10 km from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, this Gilbert stay covers the basics well for a short trip, with roomy rooms, free Wi-Fi, a gym, and breakfast. It makes the most sense as a comfortable place to return to after a day out rather than a polished resort, and the separate couch area in many rooms is a useful extra for relaxing or spreading out bags. Review scores suggest keeping expectations realistic, since service and maintenance can be inconsistent.

46 DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Midtown Encanto $$$
Our opinion: In downtown Phoenix, a free shuttle covering destinations within five miles makes this a convenient base for getting around central sights without needing rideshares for every trip. The Midtown location puts museums, shopping, sports venues, and the convention area within easy reach, while the restaurant, lobby bar, 24-hour snack shop, gym, and pool add useful on-site convenience. Reviews suggest going in with moderate expectations, especially if dependable pool access, included breakfast, or a more polished atmosphere are priorities.

47 Downtown Phoenix Hotel Downtown Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: With the Van Buren light rail stop just outside and downtown venues an easy trip away, this is a practical budget base for a short stay in Phoenix. It makes the most sense for concerts, games, conventions, or a quick city visit when location matters more than polished hotel luxury. Free parking, free Wi‑Fi, in-room microwaves and mini-fridges, plus laundry facilities all make it practical for keeping costs down. The main caution: this is not the pick for light sleepers or anyone wanting a super polished, resort-style experience.

48 Baymont by Wyndham Phoenix I-10 near 51st Ave Estrella $$$
Our opinion: For a low-cost stop in Phoenix, this motel is most useful when price, free parking, and easy access off I-10 matter more than style or atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi, a seasonal outdoor pool, and rooms with a microwave and fridge add to the practical setup, especially for keeping costs down on a short stay. Noise and visible wear are the main drawbacks, so it’s better suited to a quick overnight than a place to linger.

49 Western Lodge Phoenix Airport/Downtown Downtown Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Near the airport and within easy reach of central Phoenix, this is a cheap, practical stop when convenience matters more than atmosphere. Free parking, a 24-hour front desk, and straightforward access to Chase Field and Old Town Scottsdale make it most useful for short stays, late arrivals, or a quick overnight before moving on. For longer trips or any stay where room quality is a priority, it’s worth comparing other options first.

50 DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix North North Mountain $$$
Our opinion: Near the interstate in Phoenix, this hotel suits a short stay where road-trip convenience matters more than resort atmosphere. On-site dining, free WiFi, a 24-hour gym, and easy access to places like Castles-N-Coasters and Grand Canyon University are the main advantages, but repeated reports of a closed or under-construction pool and concerns about the area at night make it a better fit for a quick stopover or event trip than a polished hangout stay.

51 Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix-Biltmore Camelback East $$$
Our opinion: In Phoenix’s Biltmore area, roomy one- and two-bedroom suites with full kitchens, separate living space, and free hot breakfast make this a practical option when a standard hotel room feels too tight. It’s particularly useful for longer stays, road trips, or splitting costs in a suite, and the free shuttle within 5 miles adds convenience for getting around locally. Just keep expectations realistic: it’s more about space and usefulness than a fresh, stylish boutique feel.

52 Wingate by Wyndham Chandler Phoenix Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Near the freeway in Chandler, this hotel can serve as a simple base when your priorities are easy access to restaurants and practical extras like free Wi‑Fi, parking, breakfast, a pool, and a gym. Reviews are very mixed, though, with frequent complaints about cleanliness, maintenance, and inconsistent service, so it is better suited to a low-key stopover or event weekend where price matters more than a polished, dependable stay.

53 The Clarendon Hotel & Spa, BW Signature Collection Encanto $$$
Our opinion: Rooftop views, a lively pool area, and relatively easy access to downtown make this a workable base for a short Phoenix trip. It makes the most sense if you value space, parking, and a social atmosphere more than polished modern finishes, but the added resort fee felt hard to justify for some guests, especially when certain amenities were closed or limited. Book it for the vibe and convenience, not for a true spa-resort experience.

54 Best Western Phoenix Goodyear Inn Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: In Goodyear, this hotel is a practical base for short trips focused on Phoenix Raceway, spring training, or road travel through the west side of Phoenix. Free Wi-Fi, breakfast, a pool, gym, 24-hour front desk, and in-room mini-fridge and microwave help keep things convenient and affordable, but reviews suggest booking with realistic expectations because maintenance and room quality can be inconsistent.

55 Motel 6 Old town Scottsdale Fashion Square Old Town Scottsdale $$$
Our opinion: Right by Old Town Scottsdale and Scottsdale Fashion Square, the main reason to book here is simple convenience. You can walk to shops, restaurants, and nightlife instead of relying on rides, which makes it a practical pick for a short stay. Just keep expectations in check: the setup is very basic, parking often costs extra, and the overall experience can vary depending on your room and nearby noise.

56 Home2 Suites by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town Old Town Scottsdale $$$
Our opinion: Free breakfast, an outdoor pool, and rooms with a mini-fridge and microwave add useful value at this Scottsdale stay, especially with Old Town within walking distance. It works best as a practical base for a short trip rather than a stylish hotel, particularly if location and convenience matter more to you than fresh design or consistently polished service. Reviews suggest the property can feel dated and a bit uneven overall, so it makes the most sense when easy access to the area is the main priority.

57 Comfort Inn I-10 West at 51st Ave Estrella $$$
Our opinion: Off I-10 on the west side of Phoenix, this hotel is mainly useful as a low-cost base for driving around the city while keeping basics like free parking, breakfast, Wi-Fi, and an in-room fridge and microwave included. A 24-hour front desk and gym add convenience for short stays and odd arrival times, but it’s best booked with lowered expectations. Reviews point to maintenance, cleanliness, and security concerns, so it makes more sense for budget-first travelers than anyone after a polished or social hotel experience.

58 Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak Camelback East $$$
Our opinion: On a 27-acre mountainside property, this resort stands out more for its expansive pool complex and lazy river than for a typical Phoenix hotel setup. It’s a sensible choice for a relaxed stay centered on time by the water, with suite-style rooms adding more space than a standard city room. Reviews do suggest going in with flexible expectations, since renovations, closures, and dated rooms come up often, so it’s better suited to travelers who prioritize pools, parking, and room size over polished resort luxury.

59 Central Phoenix Hotel Downtown Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: In downtown Phoenix, the main draw here is being able to reach the convention center, Comerica Theater, and the arena district without relying on a car. Free parking, free Wi‑Fi, a 24-hour front desk, and in-room microwaves and fridges help keep a short budget stay practical, though reviews repeatedly mention renovation work, noise, and inconsistent cleanliness. Best for concerts, games, or quick city stops where price and location matter more than comfort or atmosphere.

60 Sky Harbor Airport Inn South Mountain $$$
Our opinion: Close to Phoenix Sky Harbor and linked to the light rail by a free 24-hour shuttle, this is mainly a practical stopover for a short stay rather than a place to linger. It’s handy for late arrivals, early flights, concert nights, or a quick base near ASU, and the included breakfast plus in-room microwave and fridge help keep costs down. Still, the low guest rating and repeated complaints about cleanliness, upkeep, and safety mean it’s one to book carefully.

61 Premier Inns Tolleson Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: West of Phoenix in Tolleson, this budget motel covers the basics for a quick overnight with free parking, a 24-hour front desk, an outdoor pool, a hot tub, and air-conditioned rooms. It can serve as a simple, low-cost base for travelers focused on price and easy highway access near stadium and raceway events, but the many complaints about cleanliness, maintenance, room condition, and comfort make it a cautious choice rather than a dependable one.

62 Motel 6-Youngtown, AZ - Phoenix - Sun City Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Near Grand Avenue shopping in Youngtown, this is a very basic budget stop with an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi, and free parking. It makes the most sense as a simple base for a very short stay in the northwest Phoenix area when keeping costs low matters most. Reviews repeatedly mention noise, cleanliness problems, and an uneven overall experience, so book cautiously if sleep quality or comfort is important to you.

63 Extend-a-Suites Phoenix Deer Valley $$$
Our opinion: For a very low-budget stop in north Phoenix, this motel may only make sense when keeping the rate as low as possible matters more than comfort. Free Wi-Fi, spacious rooms, cable TV, a work desk, and in-room basics like a microwave and fridge add practical convenience, and there’s also a hot tub on-site with easy road access around the area. Given the low rating and repeated complaints about cleanliness, upkeep, and safety, though, it’s more of a caution pick than a solid recommendation.

64 Comfort Inn Phoenix Central City Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Near the I-17 and I-10 interchange, the main appeal here is quick freeway access for short Phoenix trips, whether you're heading to downtown, Chase Field, the fairgrounds, or spring training venues. Free Wi-Fi, breakfast, a heated outdoor pool, and rooms with mini fridges and microwaves add practical value for keeping costs down. Still, the low guest rating and frequent complaints about cleanliness, maintenance, and service make it a cautious budget booking rather than a confident recommendation.

65 Motel 6 Glendale Phoenix Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Near Glendale Civic Center and convenient for State Farm Stadium, this very low-cost motel is mainly worth considering only when price and free parking matter most. A year-round pool, 24-hour front desk, on-site laundry, and free Wi-Fi add some practical convenience for a short stopover, but the very low guest rating and repeated cleanliness complaints make it hard to recommend beyond a last-resort overnight. For most travelers, spending a little more elsewhere is the smarter move.

66 Premier Inns Metro North Mountain $$$
Our opinion: Low rates and a quick stopover are the main reasons to consider this Phoenix property, rather than comfort or overall quality. An outdoor pool, on-site dining, a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities, and an easy drive to downtown spots like Chase Field and the arena add some practical convenience, but the very low guest rating and frequent complaints about cleanliness, maintenance, noise, and safety make it more of a last-resort budget choice than a good trip base.

67 Motel 6-Phoenix, AZ - Airport - 24th Street Downtown Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Less than 5 km from Phoenix Sky Harbor, this low-cost motel is mainly worth considering for a very short overnight when airport access matters most. Public transport is also nearby, making it practical for a late arrival, early departure, or one-night stop on a tight budget. Reviews raise a lot of red flags about noise, upkeep, and the surrounding area, so it’s better treated as a last-resort convenience option than a fun base.

68 Super 8 by Wyndham Phoenix West Alhambra $$$
Our opinion: Near the freeway on Phoenix’s west side, this is only really worth considering as a very last-minute budget stop. Air-conditioned rooms, free Wi-Fi, a fridge, TV, private bathroom, and easy parking cover the basics, and downtown sights are still within driving distance, but the very low guest rating and repeated concerns about safety, cleanliness, and maintenance make it hard to recommend for most travelers.

69 Red Roof Inn Phoenix- Midtown Alhambra $$$
Our opinion: Within about 15 minutes of downtown Phoenix, roughly 10 minutes from the Arizona State Fairgrounds, and less than 25 minutes from Sky Harbor Airport, the location is the main reason to consider this budget stay. Rooms have basics like air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a work desk, but based on the review pattern it is hard to recommend unless low price and driving convenience are your top priorities. At best, it seems most suitable as a very short overnight stop rather than somewhere comfortable to settle into.

70 Knights Inn Phoenix at N Black Canyon Hwy Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Free parking, a 24-hour front desk, in-room mini fridge and microwave, and free Wi-Fi give this budget motel the basic convenience some travelers look for, along with a location a short drive from downtown Phoenix and the fairgrounds. Still, the very low guest rating and repeated complaints about cleanliness, maintenance, and safety make it hard to recommend, even for a quick overnight. 71 Motel 6-Phoenix, AZ - West Phoenix $$$
Our opinion: Low rates and easy freeway access are the main advantages here, but the overall stay falls well short of what most travelers should book. While the heated outdoor pool, 24-hour front desk, air conditioning, and short drive to downtown Phoenix and Desert Sky Mall may look practical for a quick stop, guest feedback is overwhelmingly negative, with repeated concerns about cleanliness, maintenance, missing basics, and safety. At most, it makes sense only as a last-resort budget option with significant trade-offs.

Our opinion: On paper, the setup is straightforward: air-conditioned rooms, parking, a 24-hour front desk, free morning coffee, an outdoor pool, and convenient access to the airport area and Arizona State University. Guest reviews, however, raise serious concerns about cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and even whether the motel was operating normally at all, so this does not look like a smart budget choice for a short Phoenix stop.

Our opinion: Near Bell Road and a short drive from Deer Valley Municipal Airport, this Motel 6 covers the basic conveniences for a quick stop, including free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour front desk, on-site laundry, vending machines, and a heated outdoor pool. Reviews make it hard to recommend for much beyond a last-minute overnight, though, with repeated concerns about cleanliness, broken room features, and safety. Our opinion: For a very basic overnight in Phoenix, the low rate is the main reason to consider this property, and even then only with cautious expectations. 76 Studio 6 Phoenix, AZ Midtown Encanto $$$
Our opinion: In Midtown Phoenix, the practical appeal is mostly the low price and basics like free parking, WiFi, air-conditioned rooms, and a location that can work for a short stay if you have a car. Reviews, however, make it difficult to recommend for much beyond a very budget-driven stopover, with repeated complaints about safety, maintenance, and amenities not matching the listing. Our opinion: On paper, the low rate and basics like free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour front desk, lobby coffee, and a heated outdoor pool might seem workable for a quick stop in Phoenix. Guest feedback tells a very different story, though, with repeated concerns about cleanliness, room condition, and safety making it difficult to recommend for most travelers. Our opinion: For a very low-cost stop in north Phoenix, the main appeal is easy access to Arizona State University West and sights along I-17, along with basics like free Wi‑Fi, an outdoor pool, pillow-top mattresses, and in-room coffeemakers. Review history makes it hard to recommend as anything beyond a last-resort option, though, with repeated concerns about cleanliness, missing amenities, maintenance, and safety.
